Sacred Frankincense Essential Oil Review

Sacred Frankincense Essential Oil Review

This review is about Sacred Frankincense Essential Oil and is one of the most amazing oils I have ever used.

Sacred Frankincense is one of those oils that I keep in my purse, it travels with me and if I am unsure what essential oil I should use, I use frankincense.

The very accredited site, NCBI (NIH – National Institute of Health), does crazy amounts of research on what feels like everything.  Their info on frankincense is thorough and so helpful.  I’ll post some of their info below and or you can go directly to it here.

I just got this pre-diluted roller of Sacred Frankincense from RMO.  Very convenient, as it comes ready to use!  Simply roll it on the bottom of your feet for immune boosting benefits.  You can put it on wounds, wrinkles and scars!  It’s less expensive than buying it undiluted and then having to make your own roller.  RMO (Rocky Mountain Oils) carries the highest quality of oils.  They have done extensive testing and provide you GC/MS test results from a verified third party, independent lab for each one of their products.  Click here to check it out.

Frankincense Benefits

Frankincense is very valuable and has been used by all types of people and has been around for thousands of years. It is worth it’s weight in gold and it’s history if fascinating.  The trade industries were greatly impacted by the value and need for frankincense.

There are 3 different varieties of Frankincense:

Sacred:  Impacts inflammation and is great for skin care (think scaring, blemishes, wrinkles).

Serrata:  Great option for cleaning because of it’s anti-microbial properties. It also is good for uplifting the mood.

Carterii:  Good for general joint and muscle pain.

Where To Buy Frankincense

If you want top-shelf quality, free shipping and fast response, I would recommend buying your frankincense from Rocky Mountain Oils.  Here is a direct link to their site explaining all the benefits and many different uses.  They also have a wonderful and easy return policy if for any reason an essential oil doesn’t work out for you.

What Do The Experts Say About Frankincense?

This is directly from the ncbi.nlm.nih.gov website and is written by doctors, for doctors and not always easy to read.  Anything in parenthesis is my addition

  • has been used for centuries in cultural ceremonies, as a cosmetic agent, and as a traditional medicine to treat a variety of ailments, especially inflammatory diseases including asthma, arthritis, cerebral edema, chronic pain syndrome, chronic bowel diseases, cancer, and some other illnessesInflammation:
  • AKBA (3-O-acetyl-11-keto-β-boswellic acid) is the most important and effective acid (in frankincense)
  • And AKBA is the most important inhibitor of an enzyme called 5-lipoxygenase,
  • 5-lipoxygenase is responsible for inflammation.
  • AKBA has shown to be effective against a large number of inflammatory diseases such as arthritis, bronchial asthma, chronic colitis, ulcerative colitis (UC), Crohn’s disease (CD), and cancer.
  • Many inflammatory diseases can be caused by leukotrienes, including asthma, colitis, rheumatism, arthritis, and psoriasis.[Boswellia has shown to be a specific inhibitor of leukotrienes. It acts by blocking the synthesis of leukotrienes and, therefore, inhibiting inflammation and shrinking the inflamed tissue which is the primary cause of pain and discomfort in many cases

    Respiratory

  • It has been valued for its effect on the respiratory system, and has been used in steam inhalations, baths, and massages to treat cough, catarrh, bronchitis, and asthma.[]
  • AKBA is reported to be an effective topical agent to soften facial lines and relax the skin.[]
  • report showed that AKBA can prevent as well as reduce the biofilm generation by Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis.[]
  • AKBA can be used in the development of an antibacterial agent against oral pathogens and can be used in mouthwash for preventing and treating oral infections.[]
  • has been used as a remedy for thousands of years, has not shown any severe side effect and is considered to be safe.[]
  • The anti-inflammatory effects of Boswellia, (frankincense) unlike many anti-inflammatory chemical drugs, do not cause any adverse effects on blood pressure, heart rate, respiration, or other autonomic responses, and the resin has remarkably low toxicity.[] The gum resin of Boswellia is included in the list of safe substances and its use is permitted by US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) as a food additive.[]

Ecloth Review | Free Giveaway |The Harsh Truth

My Ecloth Review (After Nine Years, Six Kids, 1 Husband, Four Homes, And Thousands Of Messes)

I’ve been using the Ecloth for nine years now.

Over the course of that nine years, my six beautiful angels and one beautiful husband have afforded me the ultimate Ecloth review testing ground.  I’ve cleaned up literally every possible human-generated mess imaginable with the Ecloth.  Literally.

Poop, pee, puke, tears, boogies, food, mud, oil, beer, dirt, dander, dust, mold, …etc.  I’ve cleaned those messes on all surfaces imaginable – tile, hardwood flooring, carpet, couches, blankets, counters, windows, cabinets, appliances, toilets, sinks, mirrors…etc.

After all the years, all the messes, I’m left, more than ever, a raving fan of the incredible Ecloth.

At the bottom of this post, I have a video of ecloths removing different types markers off a wall…!

Buying My First Ecloth

I originally found this product looking for a way to stop exposing my family to all the common dangerous, household chemicals.  And of course, the more kids I had, the less free time I had.  Little did I know that looking for a chemical-free way to clean was also going to give me a cleaner house in less time.

Back then, there weren’t any ecloth reviews online.  I never loved the “clean chemical” smell that also comes with chemically-aided cleaning.  It feels wrong to be cleaning your house and harming your body with chemicals at the same time.  AND I never loved buying rolls of paper towels each week.

And…I never loved cleaning.  In fact, I kinda hated it.

I heard about the concept of cleaning with only water and microfiber from a friend who was selling Norwex (read up on my thoughts on Ecloth vs Norwex).  I loved how the Norwex product performed, but I just did not enjoy the network marketing part of it (I know, some people LOVE network marketing…I’m sorry, I’m just not one of them!).  And I did not enjoy the Norwex price points.

In my search 9 yrs ago, I found a dinky little website promising similar results to Norwex, but without the network marketing, and for less money.  Yes, I was skeptical.

I remember buying that first ecloth…

I must have looked at the checkout screen for five minutes, wondering if I should do this. There wasn’t even an ecloth review anywhere on the internet.

Will it work?

Is it lame?

Can it really be as awesome as they website says?

Ugh.  I fill it out, and wait for the mailman to deliver.  I’m sure I’ll hate it. Positive.

Little did I know how my life was about to change.

How The Ecloth Changed My Life

For me, the biggest change was that I started to LIKE cleaning.

Why? Because it was fast now.  I didn’t have to jump through all these hoops to “get ready to clean”.  Wet a cloth, start wiping.  Stop wiping, move on.

Repeat.

I could knock out cleaning in a fraction of the time and even with a baby on my hip or while talking on the phone.  I didn’t have a pile of paper towels at the end.  Kids messes and spills lost their drama.  Messes were no longer intimidating.

And so did the peace of mind. I didn’t have to worry about my littles getting into the “skull and crossbone” drawer anymore, because it didn’t exist. I threw out my chemical cleaners, and never looked back.

It’s not everyone’s cup of tea.  Some parents get a sense of accomplishment from the pile of paper towels, or really connect the chemical cleaning after-smell to a sense of accomplishment.  I respect that.  There are many ways to get a home clean.

For me, with my schedule and lifestyle demands, the Ecloth has been a HUGE lifesaver.  And if you are new here, and you’ve never subscribed to my newsletter, I’d love to offer you a chance to get your own Ecloth…for free!

Norwex vs Ecloth | Why Is Norwex Twice The Price If It Performs The Same?

December 20, 2018

Norwex vs Ecloth  – Does Norwex Really Work?

Everyone wants to know if Norwex and Ecloth really performs the same and if they really work better than chemicals.  The other thing we all want to know, “Why is Ecloth 1/2 the price of Norwex?!”  AND “Does that mean Ecloths don’t work as well as Norwex?”

Norwex Reviews and Ecloth Reviews – Want Norwex For Cheaper?!

Here’s the skinny on these two companies.

They both started in the mid 90’s in Europe.  They both use incredible technology: Science.
Ecloth and Norwex both make their fibers extremely small (up to 1.6 million fiber strands per square inch of cloth).  These microscopic fibers are strong, they can break up, lift, lock in, and clean deep down into the tiniest grooves and crevices.

Using just water, both cloths are able to remove over 99% of bacteria, locking them away inside the cloths special fibers, where they stay until the cloths are washed. Norwex and Ecloths can be washed hundreds of times and still be effective.

“Can Norwex Really Be Better Than Ecloth – If They Both Remove Over 99% Of The Bacteria From Your Surfaces?”      “No.”

People are funny.  In fact, if you price one product higher than another product you will assume the higher priced item is better quality.  This is a common tactic used in marketing.  Sometimes it is true and sometimes it’s not true.

Actually, there is a reason Norwex costs more than Ecloth.  Norwex sells their products through a more expensive business model (mlm, network marketing, home parties).  Norwex needs to cover their own expenses AND also pay commissions on several people in the upline to compensate for the sale.

Ecloth uses a traditional business model and there aren’t any middle men to pay.  It goes straight from the warehouse to you without having to pay a downline.  Reward yourself by not buying through an mlm company. (of course this only works if the companies are comparable like in this example).

So you can get the same performance as Norwex for cheaper by going with ecloth.

Acne Is No Fun – How To Get Rid Of Acne Is A Great Question

By the time I was 24, my face was covered in acne and acne scars.  Over the last 15 yrs and 6 pregnancies… my acne has come and gone multiple times. It’s always been a mystery as to why I had it and why it went away (temporarily).

I never had it as bad as I did when I was in my early twenties until last year – then the acne came back with a vengeance.  My acne was getting worse!  I thought acne went away after the teenage years.  Boy was I wrong.

This time there were some spots that were more like cystic acne.  I was so frustrated and very determined to figure out what was causing it so I could figure out how to make it go away.

The Acne Started Moving To My Chest And Back!

I’ve always known AND even told others, that the liver and the skin are closely related.  But I never really considered my situation when I would say that.  Why? maybe because I have never been on medication (often hard on the liver).  And have a life style that is easy on the liver.  I thought I was an exception.

THEN…

A neighbor asked me if I had any “acne home remedies” and what I thought might help her son’s acne in his hair (on his scalp) and the acne on his back.  My first response for the acne in his hair/scalp was tea tree oil treatments and apple cider vinegar rinses. No need for expensive shampoos.  Just add tea tree oil to some quality shampoo (find a list of non toxic shampoos on the ewg.org)  And that would really help with the acne in his hair.  There are other essential oils that help with acne – see them here.

Next, I mentioned to her that he should take Milk Thistle (this is the one I use – it’s 1/2 price).  The bottle says to take one a day.

How To Use Essential Oils For A Cold or Sore Throat?

How To Use Essential Oils For A Cold or Sore Throat

Would you like to know how to use essential oils for a cold or sore throat? There a so many essential oils to choose from and I’ll share what I use almost daily

One of the essential oil blends I use the most to support the body against colds and sore throats is this one:  Immune Strength.   Then we either roll it on the bottoms of our feet, on our wrists or on our neck.  And it smells good!

What Essential Oils Should I Keep On Hand (and travel with)?

I have a roller of Immune Strength in my purse, in my car and in my kitchen.  This way I don’t have to always be hunting down my one an only bottle.  When my husband travels for work, I pack on for him to take.  We faithfully use this before we go to hang out with other kids or go to public places (grocery store, birthday parties, church, play groups, etc). I want to be able to provide social activities for my kids and this is how I fight against germs and use essential oils for a cold and sore throat. (yes, it helps even if you already have a sore throat).

Because essential oils smell great, you can use them around the house. Another great idea is to add Immune Strength to your liquid or foaming hand soap. Some people really like to use it to clean there house.

A lot of people have heard of Thieves cleaner.  Since Immune Strength is a very similar formula, you can use in place of Thieves.  So, should you use Thieves vs Immune Strength?  Either option is great!

Thieves cost $45.72 and Immune strength costs $26.95.
Do note that Immune Strength has a 90 day return policy and ships for FREE!
(And a 15ml bottle will last you a long time if you use it in a roller.)

Here are some other recipes for Immune:
