Ecloth Review: What To Buy, What To Avoid, All Questions Answered
Ecloth Review: What To Buy, What To Avoid, All Questions Answered
Here is a quick ecloth review, explaining how ecloths work, how they are different than other cleaning options and who competes with ecloths.
First, before we get into the ecloth review, if you are looking for the best prices, you have options! Ubergreen is the best price for sure and performs the same as Norwex and Ecloth. Check them out here: ubergreen. Or go directly to the ecloth site by clicking here.
Ecloths & ubergreen are both top-shelf microfiber cloths that have been proven by science and by 3rd parties to remove over 99% of the bacteria from your hard surfaces. They will make your surfaces as clean or cleaner than if you had used chemicals. All you need is water. You don’t even need vinegar (let’s be honest, vinegar is stinky).
(at the bottom of this post, I’ll show you how I remove
butter from a stainless steel fridge!)
These professional grade microfibers leave no residue (chemicals do). This allows your surface to be completely free, this allows your surface to stay cleaner longer because there isn’t residue there attracting (or growing) more dirt and bacteria. Click here to check out this comparison chart.
E-Cloth commissioned internationally accredited Silliker Group to test the cleaning effectiveness of E-Cloth products and water vs. common household chemical cleaning practices. Results show that using E-Cloth + water is as effective – or more effective – than the old way.
The results demonstrate that E-Cloth + water removes over 99% of bacteria and mold, locking it away inside the cloths’ fibers, where it stays until the cloths are rinsed.
Further tests show that after a rinse with warm water, the E-Cloth products re-introduced just 0.01% of bacteria back onto a sterile surface.
E-Cloth works by REMOVING bacteria, mold, pollen, and other contaminants from a surface. Typical household chemical cleaners work by LEAVING a liquid chemical film on surfaces that must stay in place to be effective.
Who Are Ecloth’s Competitors?
Norwex vs Ecloth
- Norwex & Ecloth started being manufactured about the same time and were sold Europe in the mid 1990’s.
-
- They all remove over 99% of the bacteria from the surfaces. Both have amazing guarantees and very loyal customers. Ecloth, Norwex & Ubergreen are all the best microfibers on the market. The denier of their fibers are small (1/200 of a human hair) making them the best available.
-
- Norwex is about twice the price as Ecloth & 3x the price of ubergreen.

Enjo vs Ecloth
- Ecloth and Enjo are also very similar. Enjo works great and is a better option than chemicals. And is 2-3 times the cost of Ecloth.
Ubergreen vs Ecloth
- They are very similar. I love them both. Ecloth has more options. Ubergreen has the best prices!!!
FAQ’s
Will They Work On Fabrics Like My Microfiber Couch or Carpet?
- They are surprisingly effective on most fabrics. Please try before resorting to chemicals. Use cold water and experiment on a test area first. To use, simply dampen a General Purpose Cloth and gently rub the dirty fabric. Check this post out for an awesome before/after on a couch.
Will They Get Rid Of Bacteria – Even In My Bathroom?
- Ubergreen & Ecloth products remove over 99% of bacteria. Ecloth have been tested by an internationally recognized microbiology laboratory (Silliker – 45 laboratories worldwide and work with McDonalds, Kraft Foods & Kelloggs). 99% bacteria, including e-coli, listeria and aspergillus (mold) are removed with ecloths.
Ubergreen has been 3rd party tested and beats the performance of professional chemicals!
How Long Can I Expect My Ubergeen or Ecloths To Last?
- Please follow the care instructions. Ecloth & Ubergreen guarantee their cloths for 300 washes and last several years. There may be some loss of color or staining, but this will not affect performance. Snagging fibers on sharp edges will inevitably occur with normal use.
Sometimes I Want To Use Chemicals, Will This Ruin The Them?
- Chemicals come with risks, I do not recommend using chemicals with an e-cloth product. Household cleaning products that do not contain bleach will not harm the cloth but because e-cloth products cleans so well with just water, it is unnecessary. Also note that contact with bleach should be avoided as it breaks down the fibers.
There are situations that an e-cloth product is not designed to handle, such as lime scale in the bathroom or with particularly tough oven messes. I recommend Universal Stone for these projects. (it’s safe and non-scratching).
Will They Scratch My Surfaces?
- I have used Ubergreen or ecloths on practically every surface and they are non-abrasive and will not scratch surfaces, but care should be taken on special surfaces such as car bodies, in case grit caught in the fibers, scratches the surface.
My Ecloth Stopped Working, What Should I do?
- Did your cloth stop working? Softener, dryer sheet residue or grease build up can clog the fibers. Please re-wash in very hot water and try again. If this does not work, the product has reached the end of its life (usually over 300 washes). However, if you feel the cloth has not given satisfactory performance, please contact ecloth here. I am confident they can help you!
How Do Appliance Manufacturers Feel About Ecloths & Ubergreen?
- Many manufacturers recommend to not use chemicals on their appliances. They have tested e-cloth products and found it particularly effective. They recognize the no-compromise high quality microfiber and are happy to associate their brand name with our cloths.
